The are only two rounds remaing in the innagural Racefactor rFactor Leauge. With 4 rounds completed, we see Grubby leading the championship by the slightest of margin and Pudlea coming 4th after only competing in 3 out of the 4 rounds.  Both drivers have now chalked up wins in races during the season which sees The Race Centre clear winners in the Team Championships standings.

Tonight's penultimate round at Wakefield Park will again see both driver starting as favourites.  Pudlea currently has the fastest practice time of 1:06.0 with grubby 2nd only .7 behind with very limited running. Live timing for tonight's event can be viewed at the Racefactor website:- www.racefactor.com.au from 7:30pm Australian Eastern Summer Time.  If you wish to sign up for this league, simply go to the website. Tonight's event will consist of a 30min practice, 15 min qualifying, 10 min Warm-up and 15 laps race.  This will then be backed up by another 10min Warm-up and a 25lap race with a compulsory pit stop.

Well almost half way through the season and into to the enduros.

What's happened so far?

  • Grubby currently sitting 4th in the Championship
  • Pudlea currently sitting 21st in the Championship
  • 3 DNF's for Pudlea due to connection issues
  • All races completed for Grubby.  Over 98% of total laps complete
  • Both driver averaging a finish well above qualifying position
  • Currently 7th in Teams Championship.  Great effort considering only 2 driver in the team compared to most running three.
  • Grubby regarded as one of the most consistent and favourable drivers in the Championship
  • Pudlea, ever improving.

BMW Championship

  • Grubby currently running 3rd.
  • Pudlea currently running 7th.
  • Team Dulux running second in team Championship

Looking forward to the Bathurst rounds of both Championships, both Grubby and Pudlea are confident of another round of good results and another bag of points.

Team Xbox has Name/Sponser Change

Friday 21 March, 2008 - 22:36 by The Race Centre in Default

It's Official, Team Xbox has has a Name and Sponser Change for It's attack on the Season 2 Championship. While bucking the trend of Teams having three drivers in their ranks, only two drivers will run until the new Team. Pudlea and Grubby, have been maintained after their entry half way through Season One, every thing else at the Team has changed.

In the most anticipated Team Launch of the Season that has kept other Teams and Drivers guessing, Dulux Motorsport has now been officialy launched. Pudlea will take up the drive in the #78 Holden Commodore VZ and Grubby will be behind the wheel of a totally new #87 BA Falcon as a reward for the consistent efforts shown in his drives last Season.

The Team have expanded their Queensland Headquarters and plan to have a serious asault for this championship. Early Testing has indicated that both drivers and cars are considerable faster than last years cars and Dulux Motorsport are looking forward to an improving year.

After some frantic last minute work on the cars and liveries, DMS in conjunction with Fatshady Images and Graphics, have managed to ensure the cars have been registered and scrutinised by the leauges organising body at the eleventh hour.

Dulux Motorsport will also continue to support both Pudlea and Grubby in their drives on the Wednesday Night League and their are plans for some more big surprises coming from the DMS garage during the Season. These developments will be kept under wraps to keep the punters guessing.

Symmons Plains Round Report

Sunday 24 February, 2008 - 21:52 by The Race Centre in Default

Pudlea:-

Race 1. Got a great start and by lap 2 was up to seventh and running well. Through the first turns, locked the brakes and went sideways and ended up facing the wrong way in the middle of the track. most runners got through until YZ and Prozac came around the corner side by side and had no-where to go. Ended up a four way pile up when Night became innocently involved as well. That was race run. Limped back to pits and lost three laps in the process. Used the rest of the race as a testing session ready for second race.

Race 2. Thank god for restart, even though it didn't really worry me either way, because I received damaged on the warm-up from a rear ender. Then it came to the race, got a flat front left on the first few corners and spent the rest of the lap trying to get out of the way. Called into the pits to get it fixed adn left a little to quickly and received a drive through. This time came in a little to eager and copped a stop go. Day done, parked the car and left the racing up to the other guys.

Video can be found HERE!

Grubby:-

R1- Got a ok start and was consistant with the people around me, car setup wasnt right so i was overheating my tyres and sliding everywhere, I feel back down to around 13th and got back up to 8th. Happy with that.

Modified car setup to look after tyres better.

R2 First start. I started 18th and was caught up in the accident on the first turn.

R2 Restart. started 18th and got a great start, was up to 6th position and having some good battles, I was unlucky enough to hit a car that was on it roof on the front straight, this caused my right front tyre to puncture and i couldnt pull the car up at the hair pin and hit the wall.

I was then getting my pits ready and was hit by another car (my fault- driving slow) this sent me into the sand and it took a few laps to get back to the track.

Had car repaired and just went back out for the sponsers, I think the racing was good even race 2 was a disappointing result for me.

Bring on Barbagallo.  Another short and very slippery track.

Symmons Plains Round

Saturday 23 February, 2008 - 10:51 by The Race Centre in Default

views (500) | rating ooooo (0 votes)

All Geared up for the Symmons plains round.  Early practice has seen both Grubby and Pudlea less than a second behind the current leading times.  Both cars require some more set-up work to hopefully get closer to the front.

This round should provide a lot of excitement due to its small fast layout and carnage is expected.  Stay clear of the carnage and some goods results could be posted.  Both driver are aiming to get into the top 10.
